From the tragedy of the water crisis that has befallen Flint, comes hope in the form of a group of young hip hop artists, a theatrical company, and other young entreprenuers in Southeast Michigan.

Through a series of benefit concerts that attempt to continue to raise awareness of the crisis in Flint, this group of individuals dedicate time and skill putting on shows that raise water and funds for families that they sponsor in this beleaguered city.

The students of King High School in Detroit, MI staged a student walkout and demanded that their voices be heard on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. The conditions of the Detroit Public Schools has become beyond deplorable.

The state took over DPS schools in 1999. Most of DPS schools have been closed or left behind. Meanwhile, several charter schools along with EAA schools continue to open. Putting a big dent in public education.

We are halfway through the filming of the documentary of and the amount of surprises are insane! This film will truly change your perception of what you think of homeless individuals and what they do.

We are entering our third week of filming the documentary , and we are stopping by the men's facility on Third Street and MLK.

There will definitely be some surprises here with the gentlemen that I've talked with, so keep your eyes glued to as we continue to challenge your perceptions and ask , when it comes to what you know of homelessness.

Krystal is a young lady who is a resident in the Genesis 2 Women's Facility in Detroit. Like many of the women there, she has small children and being a mother with small children presents its own unique challenges and hardships. Combined with the fact that she also suffers from Lupus, her ordeal of homelessness takes on an exceptional level of hardship.

She tells us her story here in an interview that was filmed this week about her trials and tribulations, and what Genesis 2 is doing for her and the other ladies in the program.

Women have a unique challenge when they are in a position of homelessness- especially when they have kids to take care of. Beginning Monday, I'll be filming at the Genesis 2 facility that houses women with children, where they will tell you their stories of their challenges, aspirations and hopes to shine more light on those that slip through the cracks and become invisible.

SUCCESS! After meeting with the communications director at the Detroit Rescue Mission to hash out the finale minute details, I have officially received the blessing of the head executives to proceed filming the lives of some of the individuals of the program for the documentary Invisible People.

This portion of filming is anticipated to last approximately a month and will be the centerpiece of the film.
