BS Moss opened this seven-screen theatre in 1983 in the Korvettes Mall. When Korvettes went bankrupt in 1980, the mall was broken up into several businesses. WACKY WEDNESDAYS: $6 everyone

When Korvettes went bankrupt in 1980, the mall was broken up into several businesses(Macys, Modells, Toys-r-us). Movieworld became a family owned theater in 2008 and transitioned to digital projectors in July of 2012. New seats were installed in 2014. In July, 2018, the theaters lease was terminated to make way for a Lowe’s Home Improvement. As of April, 2019, no construction has been started at the site.
