Nothing beats watching a movie on the big screen with a large bucket of hot popcorn in your lap, your favorite candy in one hand and an ice cold drink in the other! Unfortunately, as we all know, indoor movie theaters cannot open due to the current COVID crisis. Even after they eventually open, you still may not feel safe going into them, no matter what social distancing and cleaning protocols they put in place.
While we continue living our lives in this new normal, why not treat your family, friends or neighbors, to something special, a BACKYARD MOVIE NIGHT on a big projection screen!
Imagine the excitement on your kids’ faces while they watch their favorite Marvel movie or animated Disney movie in the backyard! For you adults, picture yourself watching your favorite love story under the stars, a scary movie in the moonlight, or even watching Jaws while floating in your pool! Maybe the movie you choose is something you just rented at a nearby Redbox or grabbed from a bargain bin. It’s totally up to you!
I’ve been setting up outdoor movie nights for my family, friends, and large groups for the past several years and I can do the same thing for you!
I’ll setup a sturdy, metal-framed, 12ft diagonal projection screen, an HD projector, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, and stereo sound system. You simply provide the movie you want to watch, and allow me to plug into an electrical outlet on your property.
We all know that movies vary in length, but to keep things simple, the total cost for the backyard movie night is $100, regardless of the movie length or the number of people in attendance. That includes my time to setup everything beforehand, remain on-site during the movie, and pack it all up afterwards.
Please be aware that the ideal time to watch a movie outdoors is after the sun has set. These days, that’s around 8:30pm. Kindly keep that in mind when you’re choosing a movie to watch. I’ll stay as long as it takes for the movie to end but your neighbors might not appreciate hearing the movie going too late into the evening unless you have very understanding neighbors. You could also invite them over, provided everyone maintains proper social distancing.
If this all sounds like something you’d like to do or you have further questions, please contact me.
Thanks, and stay safe and healthy!
