Thanks everybody for swinging over to the 'Box for 'North Ridge' last night! Wait, make that 'Shadow Glen'. No, dammit, sorry, 'STONEBROOK'! Special shout to Alex Maness for bringing fellow crew members over to regale us with their tales of the production!

The Movie Loft team jogged by the Venable building(s) this morning, looking for the exteriors to "Stripes". It's a tangle of new unfilled lab/office space and overpriced apartments so it can be difficult to even get one's bearings. Best we can determine is that it MIGHT have been the east side of the Prizery building, maybe. Be sure to check out Open Durham for the Venable history and report back if any of y'all find any definitive locations.

The car dealership was definitely Rick Hendrick Chevrolet, to the southeast of the Venable building and was new as of 1997 (and now gone). There were also shots of the Thomas & Edward Co building on S Dillard. Also, the pool hall was Oscar's in Chapel Hill which was on Weaver Dairy Rd.

A big yee-haw to everyone that trucked over for 'Redneck Miller' last night, that was some good times! Soooo many Charlotte locations to figure out and the Movie Loft team will be working on it. That was the most fun! Thanks to everybody for shimmying over for 'S**g' last night, it was a good, good time!

Big thanks to everyone that experienced 'Critical Condition' the other night! As listed in the credits but not seemingly seen, Anastasia Furs was located on N Cherry St in downtown Winston-Salem (sorta across from the Benton Convention Center). If it was an actual Camel City p**n shop used in the opening scene then that quite likely would have been over on Liberty, a couple blocks east.

Big thanks to everyone that waded through the wet stuff for 'Wolfman' last night, that was a howl! Here's a bit more on Sid Rancer, the local actor who played the doctor George Tate. He also appeared in three other Earl Owensby productions along with 'Redneck Miller' and 'Trucker's Woman'!

For this week's Movie Loft presents 'Wolfman' we'll be shelving Awkward Trivia™ and holding a raffle with all moneys going towards the fine endeavor of Skin and Bones Theater! Prizes include original photo glossies of the film, a cassette copy of a moog soundtrack from another E.O. flick courtesy of , and other goodies! Thanks to everyone that took a chance on 'The Music of Chance' last night, that was a head-scratcher for sure! The Movie Loft research team is hard at work trying to determine where that stone wall was built and if it still stands. If anyone else has any leads then please chime in!

Movie Loft is thrilled to help present an evening with A. S. Hamrah () , critic for The Baffler, n+1, Harper’s and more, for a reading, conversation, and book signing at Letters Bookshop ().

His latest collection takes on corporate moviemaking, film history, and the state of cinema with clarity, bite, and real love for the medium.

He’ll also introduce Abbas Kiarostami’s Taste of Cherry on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 PM at Duke’s Rubenstein Arts Center. Free and open to the public.
