So grateful to the Alabama State Council on the Arts for another Creative Places Grant for The Elba Theatre ! We are going to be able to get a screen and projector real soon!!

ICYMI: Over $2.7 million awarded to Alabama’s creative spaces through State Legislature-supported grant program! 💰

Alabama State Council on the Arts recently awarded 60 grants totaling $2,768,800 to nonprofit organizations and municipalities across the state.

The Creative Places Arts Facilities program strengthens Alabama communities by providing grants for the construction, renovation, restoration, or enhancement of facilities where the public can participate in arts programming and educational activities. These investments are possible thanks to an appropriation from the Alabama Legislature.

Last night, The Elba Theatre was transported straight back to the neon-soaked streets of the 1980s for our Miami Vice Murder Mystery Dinner! 🌴🎷

Guests arrived dressed to impress in pastel suits, big hair, and plenty of 80s attitude as they worked to solve the crime of the night. Between the twists, laughs, and a few suspicious characters, everyone had a blast playing detective.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for another unforgettable night of mystery, music, and community at The Elba Theatre.

About last night.... what a fun time at the "Murder Prohibited" Mystery Dinner Theatre! Thanks to ICMT Murder Mystery Company for providing the entertainment, Chef Anthony & Dawn for the meal, and all of our wonderful guests for coming out! It was a night to remember!

It's been such an exciting few weeks at The Elba Theatre! We have gotten curtains and ceiling baffles installed by Franklin Designs to help with sound absorption (not to mention the theatre is much more classy now) and we just got awesome audio equipment installed by the fabulous David Habegger !

Huge thank you to our grant making superstars - Wiregrass RC&D, Alabama State Council on the Arts, All In Credit Union, Alabama Historical Commission, The Daniel Foundation, a very generous anonymous donor, and everyone who has supported our other events this year for making this phase of work possible! We still have stage lighting to complete in the next few weeks, but we are so excited about all this progress, we just had to share!

Get to know one of our upcoming musical acts, Kacy Lynn. Catch her from 12-2pm on the Elba Theatre stage. May 3rd, 2025.
Kacy Lynn lives in Graceville Florida on the same piece of land she was raised on. She has been playing guitar and writing songs since she was 14 years old. From the moment she put pen to paper and wrote her first song the fire was ignited in her soul. She found her voice and a way to express herself and when she didn’t have the words to speak, she had music. She's always had music and her family which is so very important to her. Kacy Lynn was raised on the sounds of Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash -- all the country music greats. Kacy Lynn clung to their soulful sounds and words and desired to be a great songwriter.
She has always loved performing and entertaining people and has been doing just that, since the age of 15. She's had a lot of wonderful opportunities in her life but nothing makes her happier then performing locally and writing music. She met her wonderful Husband Todd while playing music. He’s a drummer and together they formed the band, Whiskey Ridge. They perform all over the Wiregrass and Florida Panhandle area which ignites their musical passion while getting to meet people. Above all, Kacy Lynn believes "You always treat people with kindness, stay humble no matter what, and just keep singing-- never stop doing what you love."
