HOMETOWN CINEMAS

This is who we are…

**We are a family owned business that began in the early 2000’s. We now own several locations in South and North Carolina with the closest location in Marion, NC.

**We started in the beginning in Yancey County, NC (Burnsville, NC) with a tiny 1 screen theater called The Yancey Theatre. The idea was to make going to the movies affordable for families.

**We acquire the older cinemas that everyone loved as a child that have become old and dated over the years. We do extensive remodel work inside and out, basically making the facility brand new again.

**We install new comfortable seating, massive sound by QSC and we are super picky about having a beautiful picture on the screen.

**We are just as picky about the cleanliness of our facility. You can always expect clean restrooms and fresh auditoriums.

**When all of that is complete, then we lower the admission and concession prices and we are open for business.
That makes us family friendly and affordable!!

Let’s talk about the cinema in Forest City…

**Over the last week after acquiring the facility on Wednesday July 15th. We have been crazy busy night and day making important changes. Changes like air conditioning. Air conditioning is very important in the middle of July! I am proud to say that all auditoriums are now regulated and holding steady at 68 degrees.

**We have also been working hard on the sound and picture quality in all auditoriums. I must say, you are going to be impressed! The picture quality is now amazing. The sound is a true 7.1. In short, It sounds really really good!

Shout Outs…

**A special shout out to the Shaver Sound Service in Mooresville, NC for the long hours and for making the needed changes.

**Also a special thanks to the Forest City Inspections Department, Mr. Joe Scoggins and his team have been super helpful.

**Also a special thanks to the Forest City Fire Chief, Chad Allen, for being really helpful over the last week.

**A heartfelt thanks to Dwayne Hunt and Hunt Family Properties for going out of their way to make the impossible possible. Thank you so much!

**One more thanks goes out to Forest City Glass. They replaced the broken entry door glass. From measuring, to making, and then installing in 2 hours at a reasonable price. These guys should consider working in NASCAR.

Lots of new changes on the inside of the building have taken place, you will need to come see all the changes for yourself!!
