Celebrating our 10th Anniversary -
The NCISAFF logo is a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, and connection. At its center stands a graceful, multicultural woman rising from a red lotus—symbolizing beauty, resilience, and artistic awakening. She holds two film clapperboards inscribed with NCISAFF, representing the power of global storytelling.

Adorned with a red cardinal and a peacock on her shoulders—symbols of North Carolina and South Asian heritage—she is framed by blooming dogwood flowers, evoking hope, unity, and homegrown pride. A green cardinal rests on the lotus beneath her, symbolizing peace and the nurturing of new creative voices.

Encircled in a frame echoing both a camera lens and the Earth itself, this logo speaks to the festival’s mission: bridging cultures and amplifying stories from around the world through the universal language of film.

The NCISAFF (North Carolina International South Asian Film Festival) logo is more than a symbol—it’s a visual poem honoring the universal power of storytelling.

At its center is a graceful woman of multinational heritage, representing the strength and spirit of women creators across the globe. She stands atop a red lotus, a powerful symbol in many cultures for purity, transformation, and creative emergence.

This logo reflects NCISAFF’s deep commitment to diversity, creativity, and cultural unity—inviting audiences to explore cinema that transcends borders and connects hearts.

NC FASHION WEEK - DAY 1 - FEATURING MEREDITH HEDGEPETH (form the Tuscarora and Cherokee Tribe)
As we get closed to the 9th Annual Franklin County International Film Festival to be held on June 1, 2025, It's time to showcase the NC Fashion Week. How do Fashion and Film Blend? Fashion and film blend naturally because both are powerful forms of visual storytelling and cultural expression.
How Fashion and Film Blend:
Costume design helps define a character’s personality, background, status, and emotional state.
Fashion anchors the audience in a specific era or culture
It gives authenticity to period films and fantasy worlds alike..
Films often set fashion trends, influencing what people wear.
Designers collaborate with filmmakers to showcase collections through cinema.
Fashion helps tell stories visually, especially when characters don’t speak much.
Think of silent films or modern mood-driven indie films where looks say everything. FFranklin County NC Government@ #
