Alan and Ed will be talking about our SELECT PIX Series on "Good Day Stateline" on Friday, March 13th. 5:30 & 10:00 pm are the air times. The interview will be aired on FOX39 (Rockford). Below, the two of us at the Roger Ebert Film Festival, giving the "thumbs up" next to Roger's statue.

Join us on April 1st as we screen “Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings” at The Lindo Theatre at 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. Starring Billy Dee Williams, James Earl Jones and Richard Pryor, this 1976 American sports comedy film is about the antics of a group of ex-Negro league baseball players barnstorming the Midwest during the era of racial segregation. Don’t miss the fun on April 1st.

March will bring "The Bigamist" (1953) to screen at the Lindo as part of our 2026 Select Pix series. Directed by Ida Lupino, who also stars in the film, this film was the first time a major studio allowed a female director to direct herself. Join us on March 4th for the 1pm matinee or 7pm for the evening screen.

Our February offering is Alfred Hitchcock's "To Catch a Thief" (1955). The film stars Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, plus some of the most spectacular film footage of the French Rivera. Join us on Wednesday, February 4th. Screenings at 1 & 7 pm.

This Wednesday, January 7 at 1 & 7 pm, we'll be screening the 1996 film "Fargo." Frances McDormand received an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in this dark comedy. Please join us.

We know that winter is here but brave the cold to view a film that takes place in the frozen landscape of northern Minnesota.

"Fargo" (1996) will be screened at the Lindo Theatre in Freeport on Wednesday, January 7th -- 1 & 7 pm. The award-winning film was written and directed by Ethan and Joel Coen. Frances McDormand was Best Actress in a Leading Role Oscar for her performance in this dark comedy.

The Annual FHN Christmas Movie--The Shop Around the Corner" (1940) starring James Stewart and Margaret Sullivan--will be screened at the Lindo Theatre on Thursday, December 11th at 1 & 7 pm. Admission is a non-perishable food item or cash donation for the Freeport Area Church Cooperative Food Bank. Please join us for a wonderful Holiday film from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

"The Thin Man" (1934) is our December "Not-a-Christmas-Movie-Christmas-Movie." Wednesday, December 3rd screenings at 1 & 7 PM. Freeport's Lindo Theatre.
This film was the first of six mystery-comedy films starring Myrna Loy and William Powell as Nora and Nick Charles. All the films in the series also featured "The Pooch" as Asta, the Charles' loveable dog.
