We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who made our 2026 Oscar Shorts such a wonderful time.

First off we would like to thank Fresno City College Film Appreciation Club for collaborating with us for this event.

Special thank you to our sponsors: Donaghy Sales, Quady Winery, Acme Printing, and Fresno City College for hosting us.

We would like to thank Tacos Las Salsas, Tacos Sinaloa, and Fire Kabob for showing up and and for having delicious food for the event. Thank you Craft Coffin for selling your awesome products and the Filmmaker Meet-Up from CMAC for having an outreach table.

A huge thank you to our volunteers for the two days, you all put in a lot of work for the event.

Lastly, we would like to thank our audience for coming. We would be nothing without you and thank you for continuing to show up and see the Oscar-Nominated Short Films with us and for making this such a wonderful yearly event for us.

We have some exciting news — Fresno Filmworks has been nominated for Best of Central California!

For years, our mission has been simple: bring bold, independent, and international cinema to Fresno and create space for community conversation around film.

If you’ve attended Oscar Shorts, Spooktacular, or any of our special screenings, you’re part of why this nomination happened.

It is such an honor to be nominated amongst some amazing nonprofits serving the central valley.

Thank you for supporting us.

Fresno Filmworks is still here, still rolling, and still bringing Fresno the bold, creative, independent films you can’t find anywhere else. This year you helped us celebrate a packed Oscar Shorts weekend, monthly Cinemelt screenings with Goldstein’s in the Tower District, and our new Spooktacular horror festival featuring Drive Back with director Cody Ashford joining us for a Q&A.

In 2026, we’re keeping the momentum going with Oscar Shorts, Cinemelt, Spooktacular, and our newest addition, a festival highlighting voices and stories from the Middle East and North Africa, MENA. As a small nonprofit, we rely on our community to make these programs possible.

Your donations, sponsorships, and ticket purchases directly support filmmaker visits, venue rentals, and the conversations that keep independent film alive in Fresno. We are grateful for your support.

Thank you for supporting independent film in the Central Valley. Your contribution helps us bring world cinema, filmmaker Q&As, and community events—like Oscar Shorts and Spooktacular—to Fresno year-round. Enter any amount that feels right for you.
