This community outreach program is provided by your GHPL staff and volunteers.

We will be distributing 160 boxes today from 2pm-4pm for children ages 2-18 years old. Each box contains 7 shelf-stable breakfasts and lunches.

There are no income or residency requirements.
If you haven’t participated in this summer’s food box giveaway, an adult must bring their valid ID and each child’s birth certificate OR bring the children you are picking up for.

Each food box weighs approx. 25 lbs each, so please bring assistance if you are picking up multiple boxes. We do not recommend small children lifting and carrying these for you.

We appreciate Feeding the Gulf Coast for making this program possible.

🌟📚 We had a WONDERFUL Storytime today! We read “The Imitation Book,” played games, snacked, and had a super fun time!

💛 Thank you to everyone who came to see us today, and thank you to Grove Hill United Methodist Church for letting us use their gym today!

☀️ Out LAST Summer Reading Storytime for 2026 will be next Wednesday, July 29th! We can’t believe this Summer is almost over! We hope to see you!

There are two weeks remaining in our Art Supply Drive for the Grove Hill Arts Council.

These supplies will help the Arts Center to continue offering art classes, youth activities, and showcase local artwork from our many talented citizens.

We believe collaboration is key in small towns and we couldn’t be more proud to support the Grove Hill Arts Council!

We will be giving boxes away today from 1pm-3pm.

!! UPDATE !!

We have received 200 boxes today! ALL children ages 2 - 18 are eligible for the Summer Meal Program. There are no income or residential requirements to participate. If you haven't received a food box this summer, we only require an adult to bring your children OR their original birth certificates. We ask that you please bring help if you are getting multiple boxes. Boxes weigh approx. 25 lbs each.

We will update this post tomorrow morning with the new distribution date and time. We HOPE to distribute boxes tomorrow afternoon (7/17/26), but there are no promises.

🌟 We had an amazing Storytime today at the Library!

📚 Our babies were able to have Storytime in the Grove Hill United Methodist Church gym again, and we are so grateful for them to allow us to use it! 🫶🏼

Our older kids got a visit from First U.S. Bank for a fun lesson on banking and safety, along with some goodies to take home! Thank you so much to FUSB for coming! 💰💛

We hope to see everyone next week! We can’t believe this summer’s Reading Program has flown by THIS FAST! ☀️

We would love for you to attend tomorrow! We recommend children that choose to attend are 8 years old or older. We will still have our standard Storytime for our younger kids! Come see us!

Tomorrow (Thurs. 7/09/26) from 2-4pm we will be distributing 160 meal boxes for area children between the ages of 2-18 years old. Each box contains 7 shelf-stable breakfasts and lunches.

Because of the high demand, we recommend arriving around 1:30pm tomorrow to get in line for the 2pm startup time. Boxes usually go quickly.

If you haven’t participated in this weekly program, an adult must bring their gov’t issued ID and their children (or eligible aged children under your care) OR each child’s original birth certificate.

We thank Feeding the Gulf Coast & all of our City workers who help us make sure no child goes hungry this summer.
