CALL FOR ARTISTS: The Provision Fund is LIVE! 🎉

We're excited to announce that we are now accepting applications to Real Art Ways' Provision Fund! Provision Fund is a new grant program that will support the creation of new work.

In our first year of annual grant-making through this program, Real Art Ways will award six $10,000 project grants to Connecticut-based artists through an open-call, juried process.
The 2026 jury includes artist Saya Woolfalk, author and curator Seph Rodney, and arts & cultural leader (Executive Director of SPACE) Kelsey Halliday Johnson.

The deadline to apply is 11:59 pm on September 20, 2026. There is no fee to apply for the grant.

We will host a virtual info session (via zoom) on Monday, July 27, from 5-6pm. Spread the word and share this with every Connecticut artist you know!

The Provision Fund is made possible with funding from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and will be managed and administered by Real Art Ways.

Learn more and sign up for the info session at www.provisionfund.org

Special shout out to our partner venue Connecticut Science Center for hosting this series and for the engaging presentation.

Dr. Meyer, we hope you’re able to fulfill your “dream dig” in Kazakhstan someday - we’re rooting for you! Until next time…

🎬 “BRINGING UP BABY is a treasure of American cinema, and we can’t wait to present it on the big screen. It also features a belabored scientist trying to build a Brontosaurus skeleton - a fine segue into our Science on Screen talk!"
- Ian Ally-Seals, Cinema Coordinator

🦕 Join us when Dr. Dalton L. Meyer (from Yale University's Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences) gives a talk on being "Down in the Dirt" - digging into Connecticut's rich history of paleontology.

📍Connecticut Science Center, 250 Columbus Blvd

Friends!

A local journalist is writing a story on social connection, specifically about the benefits of meeting people at events. Because we have hosted shows, performances, events, and screenings for the community for more than 50 years - she is looking to collect a few stories from Real Art Ways patrons.

Please email your story to [email protected], along with your contact information. We'd love to hear from you!
