Shot with Loznitsa’s trademark austerity, the film plays like a slow, suffocating procedural — chilling precisely because of its restraint.
MIROIRS No. 3
Christian Petzold’s quietly devastating new film (🎖 Special Jury Award, LEFFEST) moves in the opposite direction: intimate, elliptical, and emotionally unresolved. Starring Paula Beer, Petzold’s longtime collaborator, the film explores grief and projection through fractured identity and repetition — cinema as reflection, distortion, and echo.
Both films premiered at major international festivals and represent late‑career masterworks.
