The spire atop the Royal Theater is dedicated to the memory of Frances Otis Colemon (1938-2023) and hundreds of other Hogansville children who spent Saturdays at the Royal Theater. Before television, the “picture show” was the only show in Hogansville, providing hours of entertainment and socializing, which they would fondly remember all their lives.

We gratefully acknowledge Mr. Ray Colemon and family, and Tim and Mara Morgan for their donations that have made the replication of the Royal Theater Spire possible.

A beautiful tribute to the memories, community, and history that continue to make Hogansville so special. ❤️

Hogansville Royal Theater stands as a true architectural gem, originally built in 1936 with striking Art Deco details, a ziggurat roof, and a 30-foot winged spire. The building has been carefully preserved and thoughtfully restored through community effort, grants, and donations.

Atlanta Commercial Architects helped repair, restore, and reimagine key elements of the façade while honoring its original character.

A story of preservation, craftsmanship, and community pride that continues to unfold 🎬🤍
