A senior pastor who has been preaching for over three decades and has been married for three decades, yet is experiencing marital problems to the point of entertaining the evil thought of wanting his wife to die so that he could marry someone else he already had in mind within the church.

What a confession! What a world we live in today!

What does this reveal about his character and that of his wife, and what lessons can we learn from situations like this in our world today?

Can someone preach for decades, lead a congregation, and yet struggle with such disturbing thoughts in his personal life?
This is a sobering reminder that being gifted in ministry is not the same as having godly character, and being experienced in preaching does not automatically mean one has matured spiritually.
