finally made it to little white church in Randolph that's open only in summer
~after many years the timing worked out

in summer whatever town I'm in during "church hours" if I have an hour or so gap I find a service
regardless of denomination

if anyone ever wants to join me or has a parish to recommend, give a holler 😃

(and if the timing really works out and I have a looong gap
I love post church pancakes 🥞
let's find a diner)

random photos I've taken between rides

lost so many way better pics (like a cloud over twin that looked like a big shark eating a little shark 🦈) in the recent snafu so plan to do this more often

camped two weeks on Haystack,
so spent a lot of extra time at Yaya's Market and Deli 🥓

please drive slowly when it's dark out

and save me the Get Better Headlights comments because
a. I already am as soon as I can get to my mechanic*
b. wake up the whole world bright LEDs, IMO, give a false sense of security
-- drivers go faster because they think they're so aware of their surroundings

and they underestimate how quickly wildlife moves
being able to see a 🫎 because your blinding lights shone on her
doesn't mean she won't walk in front of you -- and you'll have less stopping time

*I just got new everything last week because my old casings were so pitted from dirt roads they couldn't be buffed anymore, but the bulbs are meh 😐

over the past few years hikers became so dominant I forgot to market weddings 👰🤵‍♂️ and other designated driving

yesterday I had the pleasure of making sure these three beautiful couples made it to a wedding atop Mount Rosebrook in Bretton Woods
🚠 (they took gondolas up!)

then at midnight they were brought safely back to their condo in Lincoln 💤

Truck, he's not "black car"
but he's a spacious crew cab with an excellent, reliable driver
and I think who's behind the wheel matters more than the make or model

a recent hiker texted me that he had posted a review on Yelp!
I didn't see it at first
but found it plus these and several other glowing testimonies labeled "Not Recommended" .... hmph! 😾
