When you need horizontal space, go vertical!

When I can’t easily create my own system with my own DIY containers, I will make a purchase. I had to get our produce vertical to create counter space.

The copper baskets used to be hangable but we don’t have a place to hang it.

I chose this one because it was 3 tiers. We usually have a ton of produce. It can be wall mounted. I added my own S hook to hang banana bunches.

It’s time to repaint it and I had picked yellow to tie in the yellow of the leaves.

I have a tendency to prefer neutral colors as a backdrop and select only a few focal points per room for pops of color.

“My kids use bins instead of dressers now. Makes life so much easier when you have a lot of laundry coming in and out especially with busy households like mine. Gives us space back in our small bedrooms as well”

After I posted the video about putting socks by the door with shoes there were many comments about eliminating dressers both for children and adults.

Sometimes you just need a miscellaneous category to catch all the extra random categories that you cannot anticipate.

Sometimes a new system is just the first round of collecting, sorting and simplifying until you see how much of each category you have AND what types of categories you have.

My client was a little backlogged on old cards such as credit, membership, gift and misc. we have more to sort, but the two obvious categories were labelled and then we made a misc. to catch the rest as she finds them.

Also I wanted to make it very easy for her to toss them in or find them without too many steps. Some of her older systems were card books.
