Douglas Sirk’s Imitation of Life screens this Sunday at 13:45 LINK IN BIO FOR TICKETS 🎟️

Few films capture the contradictions of the American dream with such beauty, emotion and devastating honesty. Beneath its lush Technicolor surfaces, Imitation of Life is a powerful story about race, motherhood, identity and the cost of ambition. What begins as a melodrama gradually reveals itself as something far more radical and heartbreaking.

Released in 1959, the film was decades ahead of its time in the way it confronted racism and passing in America, while also questioning the sacrifices people make in pursuit of success and acceptance. Sirk transforms domestic spaces into emotional battlegrounds, creating one of cinema’s great tearjerkers without ever losing sight of the social realities underneath.

A huge influence on filmmakers from Rainer Werner Fassbinder to Todd Haynes, it remains one of the most visually rich and emotionally overwhelming Hollywood films ever made.

Join us this Sunday for a rare cinema screening of a true masterpiece.

Upping the trailer quality 😉

A run of Hitchcock inspired screenings this April, bringing together suspense, spectacle, and a bit of chaos. All at on 16mm

North by Northwest screens on Sunday 19th April at 2pm and again on Thursday 30th April at 7.30pm. Hitchcock at his most playful and precise, with Cary Grant caught in a cross country chase that never lets up.

Then on Thursday 23rd April at 7.30pm

High Anxiety, Mel Brooks’ loving parody, turns all that tension on its head. Absurd, self aware, and even better with a crowd.

Always better on the big screen. Design by

We did it. Thanks to your incredible support we reached our Crowdfunder target of £50,000 and even went beyond it, finishing at £53,000. We honestly could not have done this without you.

Your support means we can now move into the edit, complete the sound mix, and bring the colour grade to life so the film becomes everything we know it can be. It also allows us to start building the cinematheque inside the shop, which will help keep it alive and ensure it continues to be a place for film lovers for years to come.

It means a lot that so many people believe in this story and in what we are trying to make. Thank you for the trust, the encouragement, and for being part of this journey with us.

We are looking forward to sharing updates as the film progresses 🎬

With gratitude
Liam and Ümit 🙏

Hello people! Nearly there with our crowdfunding 🙏🏼

Here’s a fun clip of us showing our trailer for The Last Picture Shop on 16mm along with a beautiful 16mm print of Pulp Fiction at The Castle Cinema.

We also gave away some of our limited edition tote bags which you can still get as part of the campaign.

We are in the final stretch now. The Kickstarter ends this weekend and we would love your help to reach £50K to finish the film

Every share, every pledge, every bit of support helps make this happen 📽️✨

8 days left! Thank you so much for all the support so far 🙏🏼

We are pushing towards our £50K goal and we need a strong final push.

This is not just about finishing The Last Picture Shop. Supporting the film also means supporting the shop itself. Funding will help pay for a new shop sign and essential repairs to improve the space and keep it open for the community that depends on it.

This is a chance to protect a real piece of film culture and help it continue for the next generation of filmmakers and film lovers.

If you believe places like this matter, now is the moment to support it - LINK IN BIO

Help us reach £50K and make this happen.
