Lazaro Arvizu has dedicated his life to promoting Danza Azteca in Los Angeles, and through his protégés, he's spread the Indigenous tradition from Mexico throughout the United States.

Friends, family, and all those who have helped keep our doors open throughout the years, we are experiencing an unimaginable loss today. My father, Victor Swalef, the man who brought our family’s business from Holland to the United States, passed away peacefully last night in his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was a loving, thoughtful, caring, and truly insightful man who always had an interesting story to tell. For all of us closest to him, nothing will ever be the same. We will be taking some time away from the office to heal, so please bear with us during this time of mourning. Any condolences are welcome and appreciated.

Hi Lauren...I usually don't take the time to write to a company once I've received my order, but you guys really deserve acknowledgement! I received my order today. It got here in only a day and a half after I placed my order. The fast delivery was awesome, but when I opened the box I was beyond happy!!! Having never worked with feathers, or purchased them from anyone in the past, I was fairly nervous about spending 250.00 to purchase a product that I was so unfamiliar with, from a company that I was equally unfamiliar with. I'm so glad I decided to go with your company. I am so pleased with these feathers....they are so pretty! I hope you will post this email where potential customers can see it. Your feathers are top of the line... they are as long as advertised, they are really full and fluffy with an elegant drape, and the lt blue color is beautiful! I'm making 12 tall centerpieces for my wedding in a few months, when I finish them( closer to the date), I'll send you a pic. If you like it, you can add it to your website to show customers what the finished project looks like. Thank you!

Wholesale Suppliers of Fancy and Decorative Feathers

W.W. Swalef & Son is a wholesale company specializing in all sorts of fancy decorative wholesale feathers including Ostrich Feathers, Peacock Feathers, Pheasant Feathers, Rooster Feathers, Turkey Feathers and Feather Boas. We have been family owned and operated in the U.S. since 1968 and are currently in the 3rd generation of our family's business.

The origin of our company dates back to Holland in the early 1900's when my Grandfather, Wolf Wilhelm Swalef, sold poultry with his mother from the kitchen of their home. Shortly following WWII, my Father and Grandfather (or Opa, as my siblings and I called him) ran a small market in Amstelveen selling wine, groceries, poultry, and whatever the hunters had brought in from the field that morning. Eventually, with feathers being so closely related to their poultry business, things evolved to importing large quantities of all types of fancy decorative feathers including peacock feathers for worldwide distribution. It was around that time my father, Victor, came to the U.S. to establish a new life for his family and his company.

Today, W.W. Swalef & Son is a leader in the wholesale feather industry! Our products have been used in a number of well-known movies, TV shows, Broadway productions, and popular Las Vegas stage productions. We also supply wholesale feathers for high end fashion design, wedding decorations, wholesale manufacturing, and numerous cultural applications. We operate out of a 10,000 sq ft facility located in California's sunny Central San Joaquin Valley.

Things are certainly not the same as they were in the beginning, but W.W. Swalef & Son has always been and will continue to be, a name synonymous with quality and honesty. We enjoy speaking with our customers and sharing the knowledge we've collectively obtained through more than 70 years of experience. Over the decades, we have distinguished ourselves in the industry by making sure our customers get the best products and service, we ourselves could ever hope to receive.
