Break out the holiday spirit, even if it’s 80°+! Join us on Thursday, July 23 for Christmas in July at the M D I!

To help keep traffic moving and reduce wait times, the box office and gates will open early at 7:00 PM. We cannot recommend arriving early enough! Christmas events have been some of our busiest events, and lines become ✨significantly✨ longer closer to showtime. If possible, please try and have your payment ready or your advance tickets pulled up on your mobile device before reaching the box office.

The first 200 kiddos through the gates will receive a pair of festive Christmas glasses while supplies last! Take photos and tag us! 📸

We’re also proud to welcome Toys for Tots, who will be on-site accepting new, unwrapped toy donations as well as monetary contributions. As a thank-you, any toy donation or monetary donation of $10 or more will receive a voucher for one FREE medium popcorn bag, redeemable in the snack bar on Thursday, July 23, 2026, only.

And of course… what would Christmas be without a visit from Santa Nick? 🎅🏻 He’ll be making a special summer appearance to see who’s working their way onto the Nice List - and who might need just a little more time before December! Bring the family over to say hello and snap a Christmas-in-July photo with Santa before settling in for the movies!

Grab your favorite Christmas shirt (ugly Christmas sweaters not recommended in this heat!), sing along with Cindy Lou Who, and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year… a handful of months early! We can’t wait to celebrate with our MDI fam under the stars.

You know what that means, right?… We’re halfway to the weekend… but more importantly…

Tomorrow is THROWBACK THURSDAY!

This week, we’re bringing two absolute legends to the Back Lot:

🦖 Jurassic Park (PG-13) – 11:00 PM

As the experts say… you’re gonna need a bigger popcorn. 🍿

🚗 Gates open at 7:30 PM, and we’d encourage arriving early. While we can’t promise life will find a way… traffic certainly will.

Our park rangers have issued the following advisories:

🦕 Please remain inside your vehicle while observing the wildlife.
🦖 Do not feed the velociraptors. They remember.
🦈 Avoid unnecessary swimming after sunset.
🚙 If something is chasing your car… simply drive faster than the lawyer.

Whether you’re cheering when Quint takes on the shark, the really big shark, holding your breath during the T-Rex breakout, or reminding your friends that “Clever girl…” never ever ends well… this is one Throwback Thursday you won’t want to miss.
