❤️ HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!

Facebook has placed new restrictions on how often we can share links, making it harder for small community theatres like ours to reach audiences.

If you love live theatre, please LIKE, COMMENT, and SHARE this post. Even if you can’t attend, sharing helps introduce someone new to the Mikadow.

The blood is the life… and live theatre needs an audience. 🦇

🩸 YOU'VE SEEN WHAT HE LEAVES BEHIND.

You've seen those who fear him.

The victims. The servants. The hunters.

But you haven't seen HIM.

Only a shadow.
A movement in the darkness.
A hand reaching from the grave.

Something ancient has awakened.

🦇 THE COUNT HAS ARRIVED.

Our final cinematic teaser for William McNulty's DRACULA is here!

And tonight, the darkness finally takes the stage.

❤️ WE NEED A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR COMMUNITY!

Facebook has recently begun limiting how many posts containing external links certain Pages can share without a paid subscription. Unfortunately, the Mikadow Theatre has been affected, not allowing us to link to our website.

For a small, community-supported theatre, Facebook is one of our most important ways to reach audiences, promote productions, and keep live theatre thriving in Manitowoc.

Now, even sharing a direct link to purchase tickets has become more difficult.

So we're asking our friends, patrons, cast, crew, and supporters for a little help.

🦇 SHARE THIS POST! Help us reach people who might not otherwise see it.

🩸 TAG A FRIEND! Know someone who loves horror, Halloween, or live theatre? Bring them into the darkness.

❤️ LIKE, COMMENT & FOLLOW! Every interaction helps more people discover the Mikadow.

🎟️ SPREAD THE WORD! Tell your friends, family, and coworkers that Dracula opens tonight!

We don't have the marketing budgets of major entertainment companies. What we do have is an incredible community of people who believe in what we're building at the Historic Mikadow Theatre.

Your support is our advertising. Your word of mouth is our greatest asset.

Thank you for helping us keep live theatre alive in downtown Manitowoc.

🩸 MEET THE CAST OF DRACULA 🩸

JAKE PUESTOW | COUNT DRACULA

Every story has been leading to someone.

This October, Jake Puestow takes center stage at the Mikadow as one of the most legendary figures in horror: Count Dracula.

Jake is no stranger to bringing iconic characters to life on the Mikadow stage. In 2023, he took on the title role of Dr. Henry Jekyll in The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Mikadow audiences may also recognize him as Young Krampus from A Krampus Carol.

Apparently, we've developed a habit of giving Jake our monsters.

Now he's trading Jekyll's experiments and the horns of Christmas past for the cape, charm, and hunger of Bram Stoker's immortal Count.

In William McNulty's Dracula, the Count is more than a monster lurking in the shadows. He is intelligent. Seductive. Patient. And by the time those around him understand what has entered their lives, he may already be too close.

We've deliberately kept Jake mostly hidden throughout our Dracula teasers. A hand beneath a coffin lid. A shadow. A presence. A suggestion of something waiting just out of sight.

There's a reason for that.

We want you to meet Dracula where he belongs.

On the stage.

🩸 BEHIND THE SCENES: DRACULA 🦇

Every door leads somewhere. Some lead into nightmares.

Behind the towering scenery of our upcoming production of Dracula, hidden passages and backstage entrances connect the different worlds we’ve built on the Mikadow stage.

This particular door leads into the world of Dr. Thomas Seward and the mysterious Purley Sanitarium.

From the audience, it’s just another doorway in a Victorian building.

From backstage, it’s part of an intricate maze of scenery, lighting, wiring, and theatrical engineering that brings this ambitious production to life.

And this is just ONE small piece of what we’ve built.

Now it's happening again.

Dr. Thomas Seward has devoted his life to medicine, reason, and the belief that every illness has an explanation.

But when Lucy begins suffering the same mysterious symptoms that claimed Mina's life, Seward finds himself confronting a terrifying possibility...

What if science doesn't have the answers?

🩸 THE SAME SYMPTOMS.
🩸 THE SAME BLOOD.

🩸 MEET THE CAST OF DRACULA 🩸

ROGER EHRENREICH | VAN HELSING

Every monster needs someone willing to hunt it.

Roger Ehrenreich returns to the Mikadow stage this October as Professor Van Helsing, but this isn't his first encounter with the strange and macabre on our stage.

In 2023, Roger appeared as Inspector Newcomen in The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, investigating the darkness lurking behind one of literature's most infamous transformations. Earlier this season, he returned in Poe Nevermore, helping us bring the macabre world of Edgar Allan Poe to life.

Now Roger steps into another classic gothic tale.

As Van Helsing, he is the man who recognizes the evil gathering around those around him and understands what they are truly facing. Intelligent, determined, and unwilling to dismiss the impossible, he knows there are some things in this world that cannot be explained away.

If you've seen our Van Helsing teaser, you've already caught your first glimpse of Roger entering the darkness, lantern in hand.

Once he investigated monsters.

Now he's hunting one.
