Let’s come together for a fun afternoon of fantastic theatre to support our local young talent! 🌟
The Kankakee Valley Theatre Association (KVTA) is presenting “Footloose: Youth Edition” at the Lincoln Cultural Center and I’d love for us to attend as a group. 🎪
It will be a wonderful chance to enjoy a beloved musical, catch up with each other, and fill the house with our enthusiastic applause for the next generation of performers. 👏🎶

🎭 Synopsis Of Footloose!
Footloose Youth Edition, a one-act musical for young performers, follows Ren, a teen from Chicago who moves with his mother to Bomont, a town where dancing is banned. 🚫💃
Ren befriends the rebellious Ariel and the local Willard, and challenges the grieving Reverend Shaw Moore, who made the law after his son's death. By fighting to hold a high school dance, Ren helps the town—and the Reverend—heal and rediscover joy. The story is driven by 1980s hits like "Footloose" and "Holding Out for a Hero." 🎸🔥

Disney’s FROZEN!

🎭 THEATRE FRIENDS! 🎭
It’s time to plan yet another group theatre outing—and this one is going to be magical!
The Coal City Theatre Department is presenting Disney’s FROZEN on stage!
📅 DATES:
March 13-15 and March 20-22.
We will shoot for either Sunday, March 15 or Sunday, March 22. Let me know what you think or what days are best for you.
📍 LOCATION:
Coal City Theatre
💵 TICKET COST:
I’m still waiting on final pricing, but I can promise it’ll be under $20 per ticket.
If you remember, this is the same incredible theatre that brought us The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which was absolutely fabulous.
I have no doubt their production of Frozen will be just as stunning, if not even better!
❄️ A quick synopsis for those who’ve been living under a snowdrift:
Frozen tells the story of sisters Anna and Elsa, whose bond is tested by magical icy powers. It’s a journey of love, self-acceptance, and of course, includes those unforgettable songs like “Let It Go” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”
We’re leaning toward our usual Sunday matinee at 2 PM, followed by dinner (I’m thinking maybe the Whistle Stop Café again, where we went last time—if my memory serves me right… and as we all know, sometimes my memory needs a prompt! 😅 Forgive me if I’m fuzzy on past show details!).
PLEASE RSVP to me ASAP so that as soon as tickets go on sale, I can secure ours as a group.
