Mississippi River Corridor Tennessee

The former Mississippi River Corridor - Tennessee (MRCT) is no longer in business. Thank you for your past patronage and support for this very unique organization.

I regret to inform you that the Mississippi River Corridor - TN is in the process of dissolving due to a TDOT audit concerning our FHWA National Scenic Byways grant to build a new Interpretive Visitors Center in Tiptonville at Reelfoot Lake State Park. The TDOT audit has moved to the TN State Comptroller's Office and their work is still incomplete. We've run out of operational funds after being in an audit status for almost a year. The MRCT has worked for the past fifteen years to produce a better quality of life and prosperity for our citizens in Tennessee and we've enjoyed great success along this unique journey! Please continue to visit the Great River Road - National Scenic Byways in TN and our grand Mississippi River! Thank you all for your support over the years! Happy Trails!

18 million people rely on the Mississippi River for drinking water. The basin produces 92% of the nation's agricultural exports. There are 937 Mississippi River Towns. There are 260 species of fish that inhabit the River. The list goes on. Our mighty River will inevitably suffer if DRASTIC BUDGET CUTS ARE MADE TO CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS as proposed in President Trump's budget.
Please sign this petition today--click on one of the photos--to tell Congress you oppose these cuts. And please help spread the word.

We count on the River. Can the River count on you?

On Monday, the MRCT and our MORE (Midsouth Outdoor Recreation and Education) partners from the University of Memphis presented to fellow Strengthening Communities grant recipients. It was an honor to be in a room with so many people helping Memphis grow in the right direction. We would like to thank the University of Memphis and Community Foundation of Memphis for their wonderful support for the MORE program.

Soon, the seasons will be changing again into my personal favorite – spring. Springtime brings nature to life again from the dormant, cold winter. The rains and melting of northern snows bring a bursting Mississippi River to all the cities and towns along the way. This also means it is time for loca...
