A love that lingers in glances, whispers, and stolen moments — see it on the big screen ❤️‍🔥

This February 16th, we’re screening In the Mood for Love (2000), Wong Kar-wai’s intoxicating masterpiece.

Set in 1960s Hong Kong, the film follows two neighbors, played by Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung, whose growing attraction simmers just beneath the surface after they discover their spouses’ affair. Lush, sensual, and unbearably beautiful, In the Mood for Love captures the electric pull of desire, the ache of restraint, and the quiet power of connection

Special event with filmmaker, Brent Hodge!

On July 26, 2025, the song “Who Let the Dogs Out” (Baha Men) turns 25. WOOF!

“Who Let the Dogs Out” is a song that has transcended generations, and has led Ben Sisto to dedicate eight years exploring and exposing a story steeped in show business, legal battles, female empowerment, artistic integrity and one very catchy hook. This documentary follows Sisto on his popular live talks across North America that explain the story of “Who Let The Dogs Out” accompanied by a museum of over 250 pieces of ephemera relating to the song and its origins.

Sisto’s thesis to his life’s work: the idea that everything is based on prior art, and everything is source material for future art. It’s from this mantra that the dogs were let out…and we are here to explore who did it.

61 mins, followed by discussion.

✨Now Playing ✨ Materialists, a film by Celine Song

Materialists: the sleek, tender, and emotionally layered rom-dram from writer-director Celine Song (Past Lives). The film stars Dakota Johnson as Lucy — a Manhattan matchmaker who believes love is just another transaction, until her past and present collide. One night, Lucy meets Harry (Pedro Pascal), a wealthy client who seems to check every box. But when she runs into her ex, John (Chris Evans), a broke actor with lingering charm, she’s pulled between security and sincerity. Set in upscale apartments and moody downtown bars, the film unfolds as Lucy confronts ambition, vulnerability, and the price of emotional honesty. Romance lovers and cynics alike — don’t miss it!

“If you’re seeing it with hopes of glittery escapism, based on its A-list stars and a trailer that prominently features a cover of Madonna’s “Material Girl,” be prepared that the result is a little sadder, a little more substantial. And that’s much of what’s so wonderful about it.” - RogerEbert.com

✨Opening Friday ✨ The Life of Chuck, a film by Mike Flanagan

Adapted from the short story by Stephen King, the film unspools the life of Charles “Chuck” Krantz (Tom Hiddleston) in reverse — beginning with the end of the world, and ending in the childhood moments that shaped him.

“Dancing between the ruminative and the revelatory, it never succumbs to being maudlin or cloying. The Life of Chuck is a modern fable told with the deftness of a fairy tale, with the sheer exuberance of a musical while exuding the same sense of wonder one gets staring up at the heavens.” - Collider
