New Bern Civic Theatre's Willy Wonka Jr Willy Wonka, Jr. Willy Wonka Jr is a fun lively Jr musical version of the extremely popular and very familiar musical Willy Wonka.

The story follows famed candy maker Willy Wonka as he searches for a successor to his candy empire. Five very colorful youngsters, including Charlie Bucket, all win a golden chance to tour Willy Wonka's factory, but little do they know that they are all there being considered to be Wonka's successor. This uplifting story has lessons for the young and old alike... and teaches us all to always thin

Willy Wonka, Jr. is being presented through the permission or Music Theatre International. This show is also being presented as a NBCT Stagehands production and will incorporate signing for the hearing impared.

Well we did it... last night was our 26th and final performance of W***y Wonka, Jr. at New Bern Civic Theatre and you know, I could have gone on for two more weeks. I am so proud of these kids. They were real troupers. I'm gonna miss seeing them. Thanks guys for all of your hard work, it has truly been a pleasure. Love you all!

I enjoy watching these kids perform more every time I see the show. 3 fantastic shows under our belt, with only 23 more performances to go. Tomorrow is our first marathon day of school performances - 3 shows back to back - 9:15, 11 and 12:45. By April 9 we will have performed W***y Wonka for more than 3,000 area school kids...and that doesn't include our public performances. Rest up, kids gonna be a busy 2 weeks.

WOW! You guys constantly amaze me. Tonights show was even better than last nights. I enjoyed watching it so much. Thank you all for all of your hard work. Keep it going guys. Okay everybody it's show time! After weeks and weeks of rehearsal, it is almost curtain time. One final dress rehearsal this evening and then tomorrow night (Fri, March 25th) at 7:00 its curtain up on opening night of W***y Wonka Jr at New Bern Civic Theatre. I am so proud of each these young people!
