Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Flint Street Theater! ✨

This fall, we’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of free Saturday screenings that highlight Latino stories, culture, music, and community.

Ever wish you could see the world from an animal’s perspective? 🦫

Join us this Saturday, September 5th at 1pm for a free screening of Pixar’s 2026 animated hit, Hoppers (PG).

In this fun, sci-fi story, a young girl discovers a way to “hop” into a robotic beaver and communicate with animals. Soon, she’s caught up in a wild adventure that takes her deep into the animal world and puts her right in the middle of a whole lot of trouble.

🎬🎉 Flint Street Theater is turning ONE!

Join us Saturday, August 22nd for a special anniversary screening of Sing as we celebrate one year of movies, music, art, and community at Flint Street Theater.

We’re kicking things off with a short live performance by Oriana Mack & Patrick Staples, featuring guitar, fiddle, and vocals as they perform acoustic renditions of some of the songs from the film and get our voices warmed up. Then settle in for the movie and sing along with your favorite songs!

We’ll also have expanded concessions and our Flint Street Theater tote bags available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the theater.

Join us on Sunday, August 23rd at 3pm for the next installment of Elm City Books with New Haven-based author P. Paramita (padya paramita) as we celebrate the release of the debut novel, Appetite.

Paramita will read from Appetite, a sharp and darkly funny novel set in New Haven that blends food, fandom, ambition, and professional wrestling. The reading will be followed by a moderated discussion and audience Q&A.

P. Paramita is a Bangladesh-born writer, professor, and pop culture enthusiast whose debut has already been named one of the most anticipated books of 2026 by Debutiful and Electric Literature.
