Here is the latest on what is going on with Google Play Protect on the Nvidia Shield and certain other Android TV boxes. The only way to stop the applications from being removed from your device is to disable Google Play Protect. In doing so you won’t receive the latest updates for the compatible apps. You will have to turn it off daily and turn it back on when you want those updates. This is only affecting two apps that I rarely use: ‘Media Lounge’ and ‘Cyberflix’. It is actually easier to just reinstall them as you use them. If you originally install them from a ‘Filelinked’ store you can reinstall them and you will not lose your log-ins for ‘Trak.tv ’ and ‘RealDebrid’, you will remain logged in. This is also the case if you backed up those applications to your device and reinstall them from your backup. Happy streaming sports fans.
