On Sunday, May 17 at 7 PM, the Ojai Art Center Film Branch presents Scarlet Street, Fritz Lang’s dark, psychologically devastating noir masterpiece.

After fleeing N**i Germany in 1933, Lang brought the haunting visual style of German Expressionism to Hollywood. In Scarlet Street, he uses it to transform an ordinary man’s dangerous infatuation into something unforgettable.

Starring Edward G. Robinson in one of his most heartbreaking performances, this controversial classic was banned in several cities when released. This film still has the power to unsettle audiences today.
