The Paducah Art House Alliance (formerly Paducah Film Society), a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 1991 by a group of arts-minded individuals who saw a need for an outlet for foreign, independent and documentary film. As interest increased within the community, programming expanded to multiple screenings. While the space we rented from Paducah's Market House Theatre was adequate, we

were limited as to how often we could present our films due to the demand of the Market House's live production programming. We needed a new home, and Maiden Alley Cinema was born. Since then, Maiden Alley Cinema has become one of the area's leading arts organizations, bringing the art of the film to a much wider audience. Our regular weekly films, special film events, children's programs and vintage film series provide an ever-changing and exciting embellishment to the growing cultural community of Paducah, Kentucky.

There's something special about seeing a classic film on the big screen, the way it was intended to be viewed. JURASSIC PARK is no exception. Steven Spielberg revolutionized visual effects by combining computer-generated imagery with practical animatronics, which probably traumatized an entire generation of pre-teens and young children (raise your hand if that was you).

Join us at MAC this weekend to re-experience the 1993 classic and to celebrate the life of Sam Neill (Dr. Grant) in one of his most iconic roles.

Tonight at 7PM The Paducah Film Society presents REPO MAN.

Thursday night, we have the opening reception of our newly coordinated gallery space featuring printmaking artist Alphy! Doors open at 5PM. Join us for a FREE screening of a mystery film at 6:30 that may or may not involve the Time Warp.

This weekend, we have holdover showtimes of THE INVITE.

Nothing says 4th of July weekend like a giant shark terrorizing the fictional town of Amity Island! If you're planning to enjoy the fireworks in downtown Paducah, you can catch the 6PM showing of JAWS and enjoy the fireworks shortly after.

We also added two showtimes for GIRLS LIKE GIRLS: 4:00PM Saturday and 6:30PM on Sunday, if you didn't get a chance to see it last weekend.

From the producers of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and the director of “Hairspray” comes the silliest, stupidest, and most chaotically funny comedy of the year. Inspired by classic spoofs like Airplane! and The Naked Gun, STOP! THAT! TRAIN! follows a catastrophic “Stormaganza” as it threatens to derail a runaway high-speed Glamazonian Express train. A plucky duo of train stewardesses from coach must join forces with President Gagwell, played by RuPaul, to save the day.
