River's Edge couldn't be what it is without the support of our partners who provide funding, resources, and hosting space to make the festival a success!

We are always grateful for the support of those who care about the arts, and the world of filmmaking.

The Festival opens tonight! 7 PM at Maiden Alley Cinema, with our Regional Films Showcase. See you there!

Craft beer generates tens of billions of dollars annually for the US economy. It's an industry which Maiden Alley Cinema is proud to support through our tap beer system and Oktoberfest celebration with our fellow Kentucky and hometown brewing companies such as Dry Ground Brewing Company and Paducah Beer Werks. Despite beer’s Egyptian and African heritage, these traditions have been mostly forgotten and are rarely found in American brewing culture. Today, Black-owned breweries make up less than 1% of the nearly 9,000 breweries in operation. Eager to shift the historical perception of who makes and drinks beer, Black brewers, brand owners and influencers across the country are reshaping the craft beer industry and the future of America’s favorite adult beverage.

Western Kentucky is no stranger to gun violence due to the 1997 Heath High School and 2018 Marshall County High School shootings. As a region affected by such tragedy, we value and champion conscious stories by independent filmmakers seeking to make a social impact. THE MENTAL STATE serves as an urgent request to examine America’s views on teenage mental health, health care, gun violence, and the lack of social resources to impoverished families in rural communities.

THE MENTAL STATE is a narrative feature film based in the heart of rural Kentucky, a high school senior and his family struggle to cope with the true identity and intentions of a dangerous town shooter. It screens at Maiden Alley Cinema on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 5pm. Tickets available now https://bit.ly/3TVkcTC

See it at Maiden Alley Cinema on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7pm during River's Edge International Film Festival regional film showcase. Tickets on sale now. https://bit.ly/3DRiVXQ
