Paonia local Peter Heller’s novel is now a Ridley Scott-directed film. It's the story of Hig, surviving in a post-pandemic, apocalyptic Delta County, with his dog and a 1956 Cessna. Tickets are $10 and available at The Paradise and online. Paonia Literary Project will offer free, signed copies of The Dog Stars to the first 40 attendees at matinee showings on Saturday and Sunday.

This Thursday on October 15, Western Slope Conservation Center is hosting a FREE community presentation by Colorado assistant state climatologist Peter Goble at the Paradise Theater. He’ll be discussing what a “Super” El Niño is and how it may affect our upcoming winter.
And of course, our winters can be very telling of how the rest of the year will respond, depending on the abundance, or lack, of precipitation... ❄️

Doors will open at 6:30 PM, when you can grab a drink and some snacks. 🍿🥤
The presentation starts at 7 PM.
