October is here! While everyone is enjoying time with the family at the fair we welcome another family to Pikeville on Saturday night!

They’re creepy and they’re kooky
Mysterious and spooky
They’re all together ooky
They’re the Addams Family!

Unlike the Christmas carolers you are all welcome and invited to join us for our first FREE movie in the park in the Pikeville Pictures in the Park series, this Saturday, October 4th 🍿📽️

The forecast looks great and the popcorn maker is preheated so come bring your family, blankets and chairs and enjoy a movie on us!

🎃🚓 Trunk-or-Treat & Spooky Movie Night! 🚓🎃

Join us on Halloween night, Oct. 31st, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the park for our annual Trunk-or-Treat! After the candy bags are stuffed, stick around as we “reel” you into the spooky fun with outdoor movies in the park:

✨ From the magic of a black flame candle to the search for the Great Pumpkin, we’ve brewed up a night full of treats, not tricks. Costumes, candy, and community—now that’s a spellbinding combination!

👻 Don’t be a scaredy-cat, come out and make it a “Hocus Focus” kind of night. We promise it’ll be spook-tacular fun for the whole family!

🕸️ Mark your calendars, grab your pumpkins, and we’ll see you Halloween night under the stars.

Come check us out every Saturday in October PLUS Halloween night for one of the fan favorite flicks!

The series starts out with The Addams Family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Second Saturday brings in the Monsters Inc 👹

Midway point brings you The Nightmare Before Christmas 💀

Your favorite friendly ghost, Casper 👻, flies in the last Saturday

Halloween night brings a bunch of Hocus Pocus 🧙‍♀️ and even a special showing of It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown 🎃

🎬✨ The community has spoken… and the votes are in for Pictures in the Park this October! Get ready for a spooktacular lineup that’s a little spooky, a little silly, and perfect for the whole family. 👻🍿

🪄 Winifred Sanderson insists “It’s just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!” but we’re certain this Halloween classic will put a spell on you.

👻 Casper the Friendly Ghost floats in to remind us he’s “just one of the boys”—and the sweetest ghost you’ll ever meet on the big screen.

🎃 Jack Skellington himself couldn’t wait to declare The Nightmare Before Christmas as the perfect bridge between Halloween and Christmas cheer.

👀 And don’t worry—Mike & Sulley from Monsters Inc. are making sure the only screams you’ll hear are from laughter!

🕷️ And of course, the delightfully creepy Addams Family is moving into town to remind us that being a little spooky is what makes life fun. Snap, snap!

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and favorite snacks and join us under the stars for nights of magic, mischief, and memories. 🌌

We have fielded right many questions and individual interest in developing some adult sports in Pikeville. Apparently there are some legs that need stretching and some backs not aching 😂

The committee is exploring the options of hosting Adult League Flag Football and Adult League Kickball. These sports, with enough interest, may become part of our Spring & Fall offerings.

Are you interested? Do you have a group of buddies who already get together and toss the pigskin? Do you have co-workers that would like to relive their school recess glory days?

Fill out the attached interest form and let us know. We will run this for the month of October and gauge the interest from there.

Due to unforeseen circumstances and no longer being able to utilize on site storage of equipment during productions, we will not be able to offer our weekly editions of Pictures in the Park this October. The setup time for these events is lengthy and with no option of storing equipment & supplies on site we regretfully make this decision.

We will, however, be providing an outdoor movie night for families to enjoy immediately following the Community Trunk-or-Treat.

We are currently working on alternatives and additional partnerships and we hope to be able to bring back the series that we know you all love, but until then we will see you on October 28th! 🎟🎬🎃

Come join us at Town of Pikeville for our third installment of Pikeville Pictures in the Park with a showing of Tim Burton's - The Nightmare Before Christmas!

Jack Skeleton and the entire crew will be there! AS always, the movie is FREE, with light refreshments for purchase 🥤🍿

We are still looking and accepting reel sponsorships for this year's Halloween Series!

This is a great opportunity to not only support a great community event but also get some advertisement as well.

Slots are limited to (30) and available for purchase for $100 per slot. The ad reel will run every movie night before, between and after each movie!
