The Moreland Theater proudly presents a rare screening of William Friedkin’s “CRUISING” (1980) for a special late night Pride Month show!

This controversial cult classic based on the book by Gerald Walker stars Academy Award winner Al Pacino as a cop who must go undercover in NYC’s gay BDSM/leather scene to track down a serial killer who is targeting men in the underground subculture. Exhibited with a recent 4K restoration, this is an exciting cinematic event you won’t wanna miss!

“THE SHEEP DETECTIVES” AND “BACKROOMS” ARE COMING TO THE MORELAND THEATER

“THE SHEEP DETECTIVES” (PG) starring Hugh Jackman, Nicolas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Hong Chau, and Emma Thompson is the story of a shepherd (Jackman) who reads aloud a murder mystery nightly, pretending his sheep can understand. When he is found dead, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it.

“SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD” IS COMING TO THE MORELAND THEATER

On Friday May 22nd at 10pm, we proudly present the modern cult classic “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” for your viewing pleasure! A trivia pre-show with special prizes including a $100 Moreland Theater gift card will begin at 9:30pm!

Directed by Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz); starring a stacked all-star ensemble led by Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winsted with Kieran Culkin, Brie Larson, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Jason Schwartzman, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh, Mae Whitman, and Ellen Wong; and based on the graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O’Malley; the film follows the titular Scott Pilgrim, a bass guitarist in a garage rock band based in Toronto, who falls in love with Ramona Flowers but must first defeat her seven evil exes in battle to win her affection.
