“GREASE” - MORELAND MUSICAL WEEK (9/4-5 & 9/7-9)
The Moreland Theater is proud to present the classic musical “GREASE” for a special week of musicals in September!
Starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John with Stockard Channing in some of the most iconic roles of their careers, the film follows high school seniors Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson, who fall in love over the summer. When they unexpectedly reunite at Rydell High, they must navigate peer pressure, friend groups, and the challenges of teenage romance to stay together.

Starring Michelle Pfeiffer in her first starring role and Maxwell Caulfield with Lorna Luft and Tab Hunter, the film takes place two years after the original and flips the script on the first’s dynamic: a bookish English exchange student named Michael (Caulfield) tries to win the heart of Stephanie (Pfeiffer), the leader of the Pink Ladies, by adopting a mysterious motorcycle-riding alter ego.
“PURPLE RAIN” - MORELAND MUSICAL WEEK (9/5-6 & 9/8-9)

Starring Prince in his first motion picture, the film follows a rising Minneapolis musician as he struggles with a volatile home life, a fierce rivalry with musician Morris Day, and a complex romance with singer Apollonia Kotero, all while fighting for success at the First Avenue club.
“CABARET” - MORELAND MUSICAL WEEK (9/5-6 & 9/7-8)
The Moreland Theater is proud to present the classic Academy Award winning musical “CABARET” for a special week of musicals in September!
Directed by Bob Fosse and starring Liza Minelli with Michael York and Joel Grey, the film is set in 1931 Berlin during the twilight of the Weimar Republic and follows free-spirited American singer Sally Bowles (Minelli) and British academic Brian Roberts (York). As they navigate a decadent romance complicated by a wealthy baron, the brutal rise of the N**i Party unfolds outside the hedonistic walls of the Kit Kat Klub.
“FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH” - MORELAND THEATER AFTER DARK SERIES (9/25)
The Moreland Theater is proud to present the cult classic dramedy “FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGHT” for the latest entry in the After Dark Series!
Written by Cameron Crowe and directed by Amy Heckerling, the film features an ensemble star studded cast. Stacy Hamilton (Jennifer Jason Leigh) is a pretty, but inexperienced, teen interested in dating. Given advice by her uninhibited friend, Linda Barrett (Phoebe Cates), Stacy gets trapped in a love triangle with nice guy Mark Ratner (Brian Backer) and his more assured buddy Mike Damone (Robert Romanus). Meanwhile, Stacy's classmate Jeff Spicoli (Sean Penn), who lives for surfing and being stoned, faces off against Mr. Hand (Ray Walston), a strict teacher who has no time for the slacker's antics.
