Thank you to everyone who has been sharing feedback on our recent post regarding Scary Movie 6 and for participating in our community surveys. We truly appreciate the community’s continued support of the historic Grand Theater as a family-friendly entertainment venue for Rocky Ford and the surrounding areas. ❤️🎬

As a single-screen theater, scheduling can be challenging. We are working to fit available movies into our lineup while also following studio requirements, which often include required show dates and minimum runs for new releases. For example, studios may require theaters to show a new release for at least two weekends, which can make scheduling especially difficult for a single-screen theater.

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to fit Scary Movie 6 into a schedule that works for our theater around its initial release. However, we are exploring the possibility of bringing the film to The Grand at a later date, possibly for an event closer to Halloween.

Your thoughtful feedback regarding movie variety and ratings will continue to help guide our movie choices. We are continuing to look at a wide range of movie options for our audiences, including films such as Mortal Kombat 2 and The Odyssey. We will also be sharing more information regarding our theater’s policy for R-rated films.

🎬 HELP PRESERVE THE MAGIC OF THE MOVIES IN DOWNTOWN ROCKY FORD 🎬

The Grand Theater has been awarded a matching grant through History Colorado’s State Historical Fund, and now we need your help to make it happen!

We are currently raising $83,000 in matching funds to begin critical Phase 1 evaluation and planning efforts that will help preserve and restore our historic theater for future generations.

This first phase includes evaluation and planning for:
• Electrical systems
• Plumbing
• Asbestos mitigation
• Marquee restoration
• Masonry and structural work

Every donation goes twice as far thanks to the matching grant opportunity and directly supports the future of The Grand as a community gathering place for movies, events, and the arts.

For generations, The Grand has been part of the heart of downtown Rocky Ford. With your support, we can continue preserving that history while building a stronger future for our theater and community. 🍿
