Thank you club members for participating in the Q+A session via phone with Filmmaker Lucía Garibaldi after screening her film The Sharks yesterday. Here is what she had to say talking to you all.
"New, funny questions arose. It was clear there was a reflection behind it. It was a conversation, not something as binary as questions on one side and answers on the other side." - Lucía Garibaldi

Cinema Club Member Spotlight
"The Silicon Valley Cinema Club is always a mystery! We don't know what movie we'll see or even what genre. We gather at a movie theater and anxiously await the first info on the screen trying to guess what it will be about. We see mostly independent movies that have not been released in the theaters.Afterwards we often have Q & A with someone involved with the making of the film. That truly enhances the movie experience, along with joining other fun people for a totally new experience every time!"

Cinema Club is a speakeasy, but for movies.
Hundreds of film lovers meet one Sunday per month to see a members-only screening of a film they can’t see anywhere else.
Cinema Club is a secret.
The titles selected for our events are never announced in advance, so every experience is a surprise.
Cinema Club is a conversation.
Most of our screenings are followed by a Q&A with filmmakers and talent, while others feature a rich discussion moderated by our energetic emcees and knowledgeable curators. Members like to continue these vital conversations in the lobby or over coffee at nearby eateries.
Cinema Club is a year-round film festival.
For the past 22 years, we have offered 10 events per year with a hiatus in August and December. Our first event in 2019 is January 20th.
Cinema Club is a lifeline for film culture of all kinds.
With our breakout 2018 season, we have powered through such spin-offs as a podcast and major public screenings (DARK MONEY and THE LAST MOVIE), while our upcoming season will boast books signings by film culture luminaries and more.
