Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival Contact information, map and directions, contact form, opening hours, services, ratings, photos, videos and announcements from Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival, Georgetown, Seattle, WA.

The Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival (GS8) is a community based event dedicated to the creation and sharing of un-juried, amateur super 8 films, with the goal of promoting individual creativity and community understanding.

04/07/2026

The Georgetown Super 8 film festival is open for everyone to participate!

Whether you live in the Georgetown/South Park area or somewhere else entirely, we want you to make a super 8 film.

Our guidelines state that a significant portion of a GS8 film must be shot within the Duwamish River Valley. How ‘significant’ is interpreted is up to the film maker.

Narrative, surreal, documentary, horror, scripted drama, and more! All are encouraged.

Volunteer for the Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival September 6th!

Volunteers needed for:

First Shift (Matinee Show): Saturday, September 6th 1-6pm
Second Shift (Evening Show): Saturday, September 6th 5-10pm

The annual Georgetown Super 8 Film Festival needs your help to make our screening event run smoothly. Volunteer for one (or both!) shifts and receive a volunteer button, free baked potato from our famous potato bar, popcorn, drink, and last year’s t-shirt (x large sizes only ... .but we will have scissors on hand if you want to modify it). Training for each shift will happen 1 hour before doors open.

Help us share our communities films, allowing us to ensure the people of Georgetown, South Park, and the Duwamish Valley at-large can define, document, and share the stories of our community.

If you can help, please contact Laura Wright at [email protected] with “Volunteer” in the subject line and which shift you are able to help with.
