After 3-1/2 years of diligent construction, Aztec Shawnee Theater opened in December 2020. We are showcasing some of the most incredible local and regional music acts in the beautifully restored auditorium for intimate, up-close, and personal concert

s. We are currently booking for private events including class reunions, birthday parties, corporate meetings, etc. The maximum occupancy of the theater is 270 but we are currently limiting ticket sales and entry to less than 200 to allow for safety and proper social distancing. The theater has vinyl auditorium-style seating that is sanitized thoroughly after every use. Aztec Shawnee Theater aims to be one of the most beautiful, single-screen theaters in the area. Visitors will witness firsthand the “golden age” of movies through vintage and classic film showings. The “movie palace” experience will be an integral part of all activities at Aztec Shawnee Theater. The Aztec Group plans to get Aztec Shawnee Theater on the National Register of Historic Places.

It just occurred to us that 4 years ago we performed one of our biggest shows on the main stage at Santi Cali Gon in Independence MO.
We had a lot of fun and we remember it being pretty hot, much like tonight.

The lineup may have changed a bit since then, but our dedication to the music and the spirit of Bad Company is as strong as ever. Come see us in 2 weeks at the Aztec Shawnee Theater in Shawnee KS with the debut show of Running On Faith - A Tribute to Eric Clapton.

Introducing on vocals: Angela Snider

Angela grew up singing inspired by her oldest brother who was in high school choir when she was a little kid. Angela always loved harmonies and The Beach Boys in particular. Angela also plays multiple instruments starting with suzuki piano lessons in elementary school, and she picked up the guitar in 8th grade. She learned from the classic Mel Bay book at first, then took lessons at Turner Music and started jamming with her older on occasion, learning many a nirvana song via power chords from him. Angela was also a band kid inspired by her other brother and played flute throughout High School and was also in drum line and pit.

She joined her first band and played some rhythm guitar in 8th or 9th grade. It was a short lived project where they would play covers including Blues Traveler, John Fogerty and Brian Setzer. That first band only made it to one show but Angela stayed close with some of the members including one who is her The Thrift Band KC Duo counterpart today.

"Being a vocalist was always my main instrument and in high school I was in contest every year solo and in ensembles and part of the all district choir and earned top vocal scholarships to join cmsu (ucm today) and Simpson college but opted instead to spend my first year under the a+ program at MCC before transferring to Mizzou where I earned a B.A. in music and was a member of the concert chorale and jazz choir."

After college Angela taught voice for a short while and tried getting some jazz combo projects together but eventually entered the corporate working world. She would perform when asked to sing at weddings, sing tracks in studio or sit in for other friends projects and shows.

In 2017 she met met Tim Amey when her name came up while Tim was recording at Soundworks Studio in Blue Springs as someone to call for female vocals. From there she was invited to be one of the original members of Rock and Roll Never Forgets-A Tribute to Bob Seger which is when the most of the members of Running On Faith met her.

We love having Angela in our band family are very excited to have her be a part of this new show.
