Nepo baby!

See WILDWOOD now on the Kiggins' big screen?

The screaming baby in 'Wildwood' is the director's own kid.

'Wildwood' opens in theaters this Friday from LAIKA, directed by the studio's president, Travis Knight. Peyton Elizabeth Lee voices Prue McKeel, a Portland girl who follows a flock of crows into a hidden forest after they carry off her baby brother, Mac, with Jacob Tremblay as her classmate Curtis and Carey Mulligan, Angela Bassett and Tom Waits in the cast. Knight kept that baby in the family. The puppet's design is based on his older son, and the cries and screams came from his younger son, who was 2 at the time.

'The design of the little baby in Wildwood is actually based on my nine-year-old son. That's how long we've been developing this damn thing,' Knight told Empire during a visit to the studio. 'But he's voiced by my two-year-old son... people go, "Oh my God, how did you get that baby to do that?" I'm like, "Well, I changed his diaper."' Knight previously directed 'Kubo and the Two Strings' and 'Bumblebee,' and he also landed Tom Waits, an actor famous for turning almost everything down.

Follow for more.
