Using a double ribbon mic setup to track Alex Koman playing and singing. Using the nulls of the figure 8's to create usable separation between the vocals and the guitar. Crazy how well it works. I'm gonna call it the singer/songwriter array. :-)

Zoo Station Studios, home edition! :-) I have set a full remote workstation duplicating my studio set up. I'm busy these days with client work, and about half of it can reasonably done away from the studio, letting me be at home more with my family. Thanks to Jamie for helping me set everything up! Those of you seeing this, tell your friends about us - we need summer projects! And remember, life matters and it is short, make real music.

Tracking guitar for the Chad Morris Band's epic debut album! Chad dragged the mic we were using earlier for acoustic around the corner so it could serve as a talkback while we tracked electric. Who would've thought that "around the corner, pointed away from the amp, and picking the actual acoustic sound of the 335 would've been a magic spot for a room mic?! Well it is. The dude who acoustically treated this room made a pretty pleasant sounding space. ;-)
