“The Palace History Hall”
As guests make their way to the lower level, they will travel through nearly a century of Palace Theatre history.
Using original photographs, newspaper articles, architectural drawings, movie memorabilia, and community archives, The Palace History Hall will tell the story of one of Wolcott’s most cherished landmarks—from her opening nearly 100 years ago through the generations of families who have walked through her doors.
Every historic image will be professionally restored using modern digital restoration techniques, carefully preserving the authenticity of the originals while allowing today’s audiences to experience them with remarkable clarity.
Throughout the exhibit, visitors will discover stories of celebration, resilience, and renewal.
One of the most remarkable chapters in the Palace’s history is her perseverance. Over the decades, she survived two devastating fires in neighboring buildings and continued to stand as a symbol of the community’s determination. As she approaches her 100th anniversary, the Palace remains what she has always been—a gathering place where generations have laughed, cried, celebrated, and made memories together.
The Palace History Hall is more than a collection of photographs. It is a tribute to the people who built her, cared for her, saved her, and continue to ensure that her story is still being written.
