Working at the shop today, finishing our last few jobs and cleaning, three separate people stopped by to ask me to transfer tapes.

As we prepare to retire, we will begin to inventory the contents of our shop. If you know anyone who might be interested in our technology or office supplies/furnishings, please share this. Among other things, we have film and slide scanners, dvd/cd dupliicators, a large format photo printer and photo paper, a couple reel to reel audio decks, a beta player, PAL format player, adding machines, card stock, a display case/counter, and so much more. This has been a great business. The amount of work is endless and no one in the area that I know of does this work. But as we age and begin to have health problems, it's impossible to keep up. If anyone is interested in owning a rewarding business, let me know. If not, everything must go.

I'm still looking for a copy of WA's most recent production of Bye, Bye Birdie. I've copied Beauty and the Beast and Seussical and will return them this week. I don't want to make any money on these videos. I just want to get copies to the kids who took part in the shows. Please message me if you have copies of any old shows.

The holidays are over and spring right around the corner, but while you're hunkering down keeping warm, dig out those old films, slides, photos, and tapes. We can digitize them all for you. Time is the enemy of these treasures. Act now before they degrade further. Give us a call and make an appointment.

A woman brought in what she thought were videos of her kids. Hadn't played the tapes in years because who has a VCR anymore? I popped the first one in and it was only TV. Called her to ask if she wanted it (she doesn't). No problem. If you send tapes away, you will get a DVD or digital file with game shows and soap operas, and you will pay for that. No personal touch.

I repaired a broken 8mm video tape this morning. Customer had no idea what was on it. She's going to be soooo happy. Beautiful video of her and her newborn baby. Mother and child doing fine at Celebration DVD .

I spent the afternoon scanning photos. The man's wife passed a couple years ago. He's digitizing the pictures of her, their life story together, to put on flash drives for each of his kids. She was a beautiful woman and I can see the joy in her face as she held her children, and later her grandchildren. A life well lived.
