One last trip to Movies 8 today and some pictures for you guys in regard to some prior comments!

The marquee is officially blank. Over a decade of memories for us and over 30 years being a movie theater has come to a close 💚🧡💜

🎥The next 2 pictures are of auditorium 5. A few of you noticed in a recent post that it was not pictured. Here’s why. That auditorium had not been used for quite some time due to a projector being down. We suffered a fire suppression system break during a cold snap a couple years ago and the break was in this auditorium causing water damage and falling ceiling tiles as pictured. With business falling off so much, at times we didn’t need to use more than 5 theaters let alone all 8 so we didn’t get it fixed up until it was needed, and that day unfortunately never came.

🍿The last 2 pictures are what was our stock room but used to be a secondary concession stand in the hallway leading to theaters 1, 2, 6 and 7. You can see the mini marquee for the menu and across from that is the drywall that sealed the wall shut and made it our stock room.

Not all parts of running a business are pretty. But we’re grateful for the good, bad and ugly that came with running your locally owned discount theater for the last 11 years❤️

On a positive note, ITS ALMOST DRIVE IN SEASON!☀️🚗 Be sure to come see us at Skyway Drive-In for a $10 first run double feature this summer!

Got some more pictures today as the building looks more and more empty every day. The popcorn machines are on their way to other theaters. Coke will be collecting their equipment this week and next💔

We are not selling anything as most things have been claimed by our theater owner friends. The owners of The Shops may have an auction so keep an eye out for that!

Someone wanted to see pictures of the screens so I got pictures of every functioning theater. The seating capacity ranges from 192-262. The auditoriums in picture order are 8, 4, 3, 2, 1, 6, 7.

Wednesday marks the final curtain call for a longtime Boardman staple. Movies 8 is closing its doors after decades of bringing affordable films to the community.

We are down to our final 10 days of being your locally owned discount theater and we will be open every day except Christmas Eve and day. Thank you for all of the love and memories that we will cherish forever. We hope you always remember your movie nights with us.

💚Be sure to stop out before the doors close on the 31st! We’ve got tons of holiday movies to choose from and you can stop in just to get some snacks to take home. You can even get a 40 gallon bag of popcorn for your holiday party!

🎅🏼SANTA IS COMING TO TOWN on the 21st for free pictures before/after your movie! Stop in for a $4 show, grab some snacks and get a picture with him!

💔We’ve got 16 days left in our 11 year run. Please come out and visit us one last time or grab some snacks to go! We will be open EVERY DAY (closed Christmas Eve and day) starting this Thursday the 18th-31st! Thank you for your support over the years.

Posters: if you have not picked up your orders yet, or let us know you’d be in this weekend, please come out this weekend or the order will be cancelled.

✅I will be answering messages in about an hour IN THE ORDER THEY WERE RECEIVED. So please do your best to have your entire order in your first message as adding something on, will bump your initial order lower to being answered.
