This is bu****it really
Albany didn’t compensate a single cent to the Black brains behind this iconic photo that mesmerized the world, because he is Black. If it was a White boy who created this body of work, they were going to pay lots of money.
Hence it is of chief paramount importance that Black people must create they are own big black brands that will fund Black talent. Albany is a racist white monopolistic brand, and it’s black people with the biggest buying power. Meaning us Blacks are financing our own oppression with our impulsive buying behavior.
If we as Africans can rally together and boycott Albany, they’ll feel the pain in their pocket. By way of redirecting our impulsive buying power into producing power, through producing our own bread. So that we can break bread with each other and stop begging for crumbs from the white slave masters table.
This case is neither unique nor exclusive to the Vodacom “Please Call Me” saga, whereby Vodacom is refusing to compensate the Black founder of “Please Call Me”, by virtue of white arrogance.
