"There is freedom in trousers." 👊 Don't miss the incomparable Sandra Hüller in ROSE, the haunting new film by Markus Schleinzer. Starting this Friday!

Amidst the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War, somewhere in Germany, a mysterious soldier appears in a secluded Protestant village. Small and quiet, his face disfigured by a scar, this stranger declares himself the heir of a long-abandoned farmstead and produces a document to support his claim to the suspicious villagers. With time, he overcomes their doubts and shows himself to be a hard-working, God-fearing man, becoming part of the community in a quest for acceptance made up of impossible deceit. The true and twisted tale of a deceiver of land and folk, who, defying her birth as a woman, comported herself as a man and committed many a wicked deed.

Austria/Germany, 2026 - 94 min.
Directed by Markus Schleinzer
With Sandra Hüller, Caro Braun, Godehard Giese, Marisa Growaldt & Robert Gwisdek

Winner of the 2026 Berlinale Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance

"Some movies are shot. This one was directed" - Kristen Stewart's directorial debut THE CHRONOLOGY OF WATER, starring an outstanding Imogen Poots, premieres this Friday at 20:30 🌊

An unflinching portrait of womanhood, survival, and artistry at the fragmented crossroads of memory and memoir, adapted from the book of the same name by Lidia Yuknavitch. Imogen Poots stars as Lidia, a young woman who finds escape from an abusive home through competitive swimming in the 1980s. After her athletic dreams are derailed, she navigates love, loss, addiction, and her own self-destructive impulses while discovering her voice, and healing, through the transformative act of writing.

"It's not an easy watch, but this celebration of unlovely femininity - of bodies that leak blood and pain - is a perfect fit for Stewart, who has repeatedly been drawn to women who refuse to fit tidily into society." - The Observer

USA/France/Latvia, 2025 - 128 min.
Directed by Kristen Stewart
With Imogen Poots, Thora Birch, Jim Belushi, Tom Sturridge & Earl Cave

Premiere:
Friday, March 20 - 20:30
