🔴 It’s All About Almodóvar this August at the Phoenix 🔴

Before Bitter Christmas, we are showing a summer retrospective of some of the Spanish director’s quintessential works. Starting with All About My Mother on the 2nd August, we will be showing a Pedro Almodóvar classic every Sunday at 2PM for the month.

Tickets start at £5 for our Neon Members/£9 Concessions/£10 Standard.

The Phoenix Cinema has been at the heart of our community for over a century, and it’s only possible because of people who believe in independent film, local culture, and the arts.

We need you to shape the next chapter of the Phoenix!

The Phoenix Cinema has been the jewel in East Finchley’s crown since opening in 1912, and recent redevelopment of our screen and auditorium has reflected its grand history but we know our foyer needs more than a facelift - and we want you to get involved in our plans for refurbishment.

Together with talented third-year and MA Architecture students from Middlesex University we have four new designs for what the foyer and facilities on the ground floor could look like, and excitingly you can vote on these proposals via the link in our bio 🔝 Swipe left to see each of the designs now ⬅️

Along with your feedback we will be fundraising for the next stage of the project; our campaign Phoenix Rising, starts today with an initial target of £20,000. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. And you can support us to redevelop the public spaces of your cinema with a one-off gift or with regular giving by becoming a friend of Phoenix Rising. All donations can also benefit from Gift-Aid if you are UK Tax Payer.
