SECOND HALF MINISTRY | 50ish plus
All Encore events are for anyone over 50. In many sporting events, the game is divided into two halves. We might feel that there is no hope, and we are going to lose. That is when the coach has the opportunity to change the course of the game, by his encouraging words, building up the team and preparing them for the Second Half. When the team re-enters the field
they are ready to go out and give it their all! I feel life works the same way. When we mature and enter into the second half we have great opportunities to work for the Lord. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. We as mature believers need to set our sights on the goal set before us – God is not finished with us yet. May we all join with Paul when he said “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith – 2 Timothy 4:7. Let’s get going!
