BUFFET INFINITY is the next WTF Wednesday movie on May 27 at 7:30PM at the Capitol Theatre. Echoing the Canadian comedy classic ‘SCTV’ and picking from hundreds of hours of original, low-budget TV ads to tell the sinister tale of two restaurants battling it out in the fictional town of Westridge County. Ads for insurance, used car rivals, a local religious scholar, and a recording artist converge to tell the story of an expanding sinkhole, a cult, and an ever-growing restaurant that becomes unsettlingly sentient.

Northwest Neighborhoods CDC (NWN), owner of the historic Capitol Theatre in Gordon Square, has partnered with Arthouse Management LLC to lead the theatre’s operations beginning July 31. Arthouse Management is an independent cinema management company based in Atlanta. The company manages two of the city’s most prominent historic arthouse cinemas: Plaza Atlanta (est. 1939) and Tara Atlanta (est. 1968). The leadership team brings decades of combined experience in independent cinema operations, arthouse programming, and community-centered film exhibition. First opened more than a century ago and restored in 2009, the Capitol Theatre remains Cleveland’s oldest operating cinema, and the only movie theatre serving the city’s West Side. Since the reopening in 2009, NWN partnered with Cleveland Cinemas to operate the theatre. NWN extends its sincere appreciation for Cleveland Cinemas’ longstanding stewardship and contributions to the Capitol and its audiences.
