We have also partnered with our friends from the New Britain Food Pantry (https://www.newbritainfoodpantry.org/) to provide a free mini popcorn in exchange for a donated back-to-school item for their collection bin! Suggested items include new pencils, pens, crayons, expo markers, highlighters, scissors and backpacks. Like-New Backpacks are also requested.

What is Art House Theater Day? AHTD is an annual celebration of independent and art house cinemas organized by the Art House Convergence. Participating theaters across the U.S. and beyond host special screenings and community events that highlight the cultural value of independent film and the moviegoing experience.

Come get swept away with Judy Garland & Gene Kelly on July 30th with a screening of THE PIRATE at our nonprofit theater! Get tickets and see what other classics are playing this summer at countytheater.org

This swashbuckling musical from Vincente Minnelli stars Judy Garland as a young dreamer obsessed with the pirate legend of Macoco and Gene Kelly as the debonair circus leader who fights for her heart. Their second feature together, Garland and Kelly have an easy earned chemistry that is a delight to watch over the vibrant technicolor backgrounds. Cole Porter wrote six songs especially for the movie, including ‘Be a Clown.’
