The first drum that Mohamed Kaleb Sylla carved for us in Guinea, in ~2009, when we were still operating as Wula Drum. Until this drum, we didn't know that this level of carving was possible. Since then, Mohamed's work has inspired many other carvers, and has become the most copied worldwide.

Rhythm Rising coming the first weekend of August. We love this festival! Video from 2025 - Bolokada Conde’ (former lead djembe player for Percussion de Guinee), Guinean djembe player Ibro Dioubate’ (Africa Nashville), Christopher Kondas of Koma Drum, along with Biko Cassini and crew.
