We are now in our 2nd and final week of "COYOTE vs ACME" which has been well received. It started out slow but due to the excellent word of mouth it kept building throughout the week. People love this movie. It will play through to Thursday Sept. 10th.

Our next attraction will be the number one hit of the year, "THE ODYSSEY" rated R which will begin on Friday Sept. 11th.

Keep in mind that Northampton's Annual Street Fair will be on Saturday Sept. 12th. We will have our usual open house from 11 AM until 4 PM when the areas of the theatre the public does not normally get to see will be open for inspection such as back stage and the downstairs performers dressing rooms and lounge. Displays in regards to the history of the theatre will be on the stage.

WOW! Is this amazing or what? The reaction to this movie is incredible. People just don't love this movie, their admiration is beyond anything that I expected. It's rare that people applaud at the end of a movie, but with this movie it's not just applause, but cheering as well. It's not just critics that love this movie, but movie goers of all ages. "COYOTE vs ACME" is that rare movie that makes people feel great, rooting for the underdog, and bringing out emotions that one would not expect from a combination true life/animation movie. People are leaving with tears running down their faces. Not just tears of sorrow, but tears of joy as well.

If you want to see and experience one of the best movies to come out in years it will be here through Thursday September 10th.

This week we will have what I believe may be the sleeper hit of the year. One of the most popular Looney Tunes cartoons of all time was the Road Runner series. We all wanted to see what went wrong with Wile E. Coyote's latest plan to capture the Road Runner. The products that he always purchased from the ACME Company always backfired on him. In the new movie "COYOTE vs AMCE" rated PG, Wile takes revenge on the Acme Co. After all of the products made by ACME Corporation backfire on Wile E. Coyote, in his pursuit of the Road Runner, he hires an equally-unlucky human attorney to sue the company. When Wile E.'s lawyer finds out that his former law firm's intimidating boss is ACME's CEO, he teams up with Wile E. to win the court case against him. Just like in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, this movie combines both live action and animation.

This week, the week of August 21st thru 27th we will be playing "YOUNG WASHINGTON" rated PG13. A young George Washington faces war, betrayal and impossible choices that will forge a leader.

Next week starting Friday August 28th will bring a fun film for all ages when Wile E. We are now in our 3rd and final week of "SPIDER-MAN: Brand New Day". It has had a very successful 2nd week and we hope the 3rd week will hold up as well. We don't usually like to play films for 3 weeks but the studio required it in order to open it on the national release date. Our next attraction starting Friday August 21st will be "YOUNG WASHINGTON" rated PG13 which has been requested by many people over the past several weeks. Following that and starting on the 28th will be something I think will be a fun time for all ages. A combination live action and animation film starring some of the all time most loved Warner Bros. cartoon characters in a new film based on the popular ROADRUNNER series. "COYOTE vs ACME" rated PG is a story set in the ACME warehouse, the manufacturer of anything and everything used by the Looney Tunes characters. After all of the products made by ACME Corporation backfire on Wile E. Coyote, in his pursuit of the Road Runner, he hires an equally-unlucky human attorney to sue the company. When Wile E.'s lawyer finds out that his former law firm's intimidating boss is ACME's CEO, he teams up with Wile E. to win the court case against him.

"SPIDER-MAN: Brand New Day" has proven to be the #1 blockbuster movie of the summer breaking all records nationally and worldwide. However, it didn't break our best week ever which was won by "TOY STORY 5", but it did come in at 2nd place. It will continue for 2 more weeks as required by the studio playing through Thursday August 20th. Starting Friday August 21st we will present "YOUNG WASHINGTON".

"SPIDER-MAN: Brand New Day" rated PG13 brings Spiderman back to the big screen. This has been probably the most anticipated movie of the summer. Advance sales and trailer views suggest that this might be the biggest blockbuster movie of the summer. A forgotten Peter Parker lives alone as a full-time Spider-Man until mounting pressure triggers a dangerous change and a powerful new enemy emerges.

We are now into our 2nd and final week of Disney's live action version of "MOANA". It will play through Thursday July 30th. Starting Friday July 31st we will be presenting what is expected to be the biggest movie blockbuster of the summer, "SPIDER-MAN: Brand New Day" rated PG13.
