At GOLIVE, we were proud to deliver the live broadcast production for the 2026 Shark Island Challenge - two days of heavy slabs, mutant barrels and world-class bodyboarding at one of the most dangerous waves on the planet, Shark Island in Cronulla, NSW.

With Ben Sawyer taking out the men’s division and Isabella Souza claiming the women’s title, this year’s event delivered nonstop action in challenging and powerful conditions.

Our production setup was built to capture every moment from every angle, including:

- 3 cameras positioned on shore
- Live crosses direct from the judging tent
- An in-water camera transmitting in real time via LiveU
- Drone coverage across the event
- Instant replay from three separate angles
- Seamless integration with live scoring data from LiveHeats
- A fully portable setup designed to be carried through narrow winding staircases
- Customised commentary views enabling nonstop back-and-forth coverage throughout the competition

From massive pits to brutal wipeouts and clutch rides under pressure, this event showcased why the Shark Island Challenge remains one of bodyboarding’s most iconic competitions.

Earlier this year on Friday 25th April 2026, our team was proud to once again deliver the live stream for the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Bondi Beach, hosted by North Bondi RSL Club

With thousands gathering before sunrise, it was a moving morning of remembrance, reflection, and respect for those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
